Frequently asked

Common questions, by topic

Cloud Infrastructure & Provisioning

Provisioning starts as soon as the deploy invoice is paid. You are emailed when the server is ready, and its public IP, SSH details and any control-panel link appear on the server page in your account. If anything needs attention during setup, our team follows up with you by ticket.

On an empty machine, and on Essential and Advanced management plans, you get full root access: paste an SSH public key when you order for passwordless login, or use the root password, which is stored encrypted and revealed on demand from the server page — every reveal is logged. On Enterprise and Ultimate plans our team holds the access details, and you ask for changes by ticket. "Request a command" on the server page lets you ask our team to run a command for you; nothing you type there is executed automatically.

The deploy wizard lists every image currently available — Linux families such as Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux, plus any others our team has added. Images that carry a licence fee show it next to the name; everything else is included in the plan price.

At deploy time you can add a RAM upgrade, block storage and additional features. For a running server, open a service request or ticket from the server page and our team confirms the change and pricing with you before anything is applied.

Every cloud or bare metal server is delivered as an empty machine: you administer it yourself with root access, at no extra charge. Add a management plan (Essential, Advanced, Enterprise or Ultimate, billed annually) when you order or later from the server's page, and our engineers take on the work that plan lists. On Enterprise and Ultimate our team holds the access details. Your choice is shown on the server's page in your account.

Billing & Payment Methods

Card details are entered inside our payment processor's secure fields and never touch our servers. We keep only a payment token, the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date — enough to show you which card is on file and to let you pay with it in one click, nothing more.

Sometimes our team asks a customer to confirm that a card is theirs. You will get an email and a prompt in your account; the card is charged $1.00, and the same $1.00 is added to your account balance straight away, so you are never out of pocket. Your balance can be spent on any invoice with “Pay from balance”.

Only when you pay them. When a service is due we email you a renewal invoice, and nothing is charged until you open it and choose how to pay — from your balance, a saved card or a new payment. Every payment appears in your invoices and transaction history.

Go to Account → Payment methods. You can set a default card or remove a card at any time. A saved card is only charged when you pay an invoice with it.

Yes. Top up your balance under Account → Add funds and invoices can be paid from it. Verification credits are added to the same balance, and a refund of a payment you made from your balance goes back to it.

Pre-installed Business Apps

A catalogue of pre-configured applications — a CRM, an ERP suite such as Odoo, a real-estate ERP, a landing page or an e-commerce storefront. Once a cloud server is active, request an app from Account → App Store and our team installs and configures it on that server.

Each app lists its minimum RAM and disk. When you request an install, any server that cannot run the app shows what it is missing; add a RAM upgrade or choose a larger server to run it.

Each app shows its price: free, a one-time setup fee, or a monthly amount. Our team invoices any paid app before installing it.

Yes. Open Account → App Store, choose the app and the active server, and send an install request. Our team confirms by ticket, invoices any paid app first, and installs it on that server.

On an empty machine you administer the application and its updates, like any other software on the server. With a management plan, ask our team by ticket and we'll tell you what your plan covers; work on your own applications can be quoted.

Technical Support & Uptime

We monitor the platform proactively and post incidents and planned maintenance on our status page and in Announcements. We do not advertise a headline uptime percentage. If your organisation needs contractual service-level terms, open a ticket and we will discuss what we can commit to for your setup.

Open a ticket from your account (or use the contact form below if you are not signed in). Every reply is emailed to you and kept in the ticket thread, and you can attach files. Our team replies by ticket and email during business hours.

On an empty machine, backups are your responsibility. Advanced, Enterprise and Ultimate management plans include backups of the server. Either way, we recommend keeping your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

Infrastructure health is monitored by our team, and customer-impacting events are published on Announcements. For your own workloads on an empty machine you are free to run any monitoring agent you like.

Yes. Start from the Migrations page: describe the site or server you want moved and our team guides you through a multi-stage process. Any credentials you share are encrypted at rest and staff access to them is permission-gated and audited.

More questions

Yes. When you build a cloud server, the Control panel step lists the panels on offer with their monthly fee and any one-time setup fee. The default is no control panel, just the operating system. Setup fees and software licences are non-refundable. On the Enterprise and Ultimate management plans you get a User or Reseller panel login, and our team keeps the administrator login.

A server with no management plan. We run the hardware and the network and install the operating system you chose. Everything after that (software, security, updates, monitoring, backups) is yours.

Yes, to any active cloud or bare metal server: open the server's page in your account and choose Server management. The plan has its own invoice for the year, and the year starts when management begins.

Four plans for a cloud or bare metal server, billed annually: Essential ($49 a month), Advanced ($69), Enterprise ($99) and Ultimate ($199). Essential and Advanced keep your root access; on Enterprise and Ultimate our team holds the access details. Enterprise and Ultimate include the Data Protection Compensation Cover, under strict conditions: the server is run only by our team, and everything on it is built by approved vendors. See Managed servers for what each plan includes.

Yes, our prices can change at any time — we work to keep them among the most affordable. A server or service you have already bought keeps the price you ordered it at. Domain renewal prices can change.

Yes, within 15 days of the first payment for a newly purchased service: we refund that payment to the payment method you used. Setup fees, domains, software licences, finished one-off technical work and renewal payments are not refunded. To ask, open a support ticket. After 15 days you can cancel at any time, and the service then runs until the end of the period you have paid for. The full rules are in our Refund Policy.

Sign in, open Service Requests in your account, choose the service and fill in its short form. Our team reviews your request and sends you a quote with the price, what it covers and the date it is valid until. Nothing is charged until you accept it. Accepting creates an invoice, and once it is paid our team starts the work.
