Managing your cloud server

Updated Sep 15, 2026

Each cloud server has its own page under Cloud Servers in your account. Beyond SSH access, it gives you several ways to get help from our team while you stay in control of the server.

The server page at a glance

  • Server details: hostname, server type, plan, location, operating system, specifications, add-ons and any pre-installed app.
  • Access details: public IP, SSH host, username and port, plus the root password behind Reveal.
  • Links to a control panel or server URL, when one has been set up for you.
  • Notes from YallowHost and billing details: cycle, recurring amount and next due date.

Managed Server Console

The console on the server page is a safe, browser-based helper. It answers a few built-in commands such as help, status and ip, and it never runs anything on your server by itself. For anything else, type the command you would like run and choose Ask YallowHost to run this command. The request becomes a support ticket, so an engineer reviews it and follows up with you there. This is useful when you want an expert to carry out a change you are unsure about.

Management support

If you want ongoing or one-off help, such as a security review, software installation or troubleshooting, choose Request management support. Select the service you need and describe the goal. An invoice is created, and once it is paid you complete a secure form with the access details our team needs. Staff access to those details is permission-controlled and logged.

Installing an app later

To add a pre-configured application to a running server, open App Store from the account menu, choose the app and the server, and select Request install. Apps list their minimum RAM and disk, and servers that do not meet them cannot be selected. Your request opens a ticket; our team confirms the details, invoices any paid app first and installs it.

Upgrades and changes

To add RAM or storage to an existing server, or to move to a different plan, open a ticket with the server hostname and the change you need. Our team confirms the pricing and any downtime before anything is applied.

Renewals, backups and cancellation

  • Renewals follow your monthly or annual cycle. Unpaid renewal invoices can lead to suspension; see Overdue invoices and suspension.
  • Backups are your responsibility unless you added a backup feature. Keep copies of important data somewhere other than the server itself.
  • Cancellation: choose Request cancellation on the server page. Our team reviews the request. Copy off any data you need first, because it is not recoverable once the server is removed.
