Understanding billing and order status
Updated Sep 15, 2026Every charge on your YallowHost account is tied to an invoice, and every service has a status that tells you what stage it is at. Understanding both makes it easy to see what needs your attention.
Where to find your billing information
- Invoices lists every invoice with its amount and status, plus totals for unpaid invoices and the amount due. Each invoice has a Print / download option for your records.
- Transactions shows every movement on your account balance, including top-ups, payments and credits, with the balance after each one.
- Payment methods shows your saved cards and whether automatic renewal is switched on.
Invoice statuses
- Unpaid: the invoice is waiting for payment.
- Under review: a payment was submitted by a manual method and our team is confirming it.
- Paid: payment has been received.
- Cancelled: the invoice is no longer payable, for example because the order was withdrawn.
- Refunded: the payment has been returned.
From order to active service
Placing an order creates an unpaid invoice and adds each service or domain to your account as Pending. Paying the invoice does not immediately switch a service on. Our team reviews and sets up new services first, and the status changes to Active once the service is ready. You receive an email with the details at that point. You never need to reorder a pending service.
Cloud servers follow the same pattern: Pending, then Provisioning while the server is built, then Active when its access details are available.
Renewals
Recurring services renew on the billing cycle you chose. A renewal invoice is created before the due date and emailed to you. Renewal invoices can be paid manually or charged to a saved card with automatic renewal switched on. New orders are never charged automatically; you always place and pay those yourself.
Billing questions
If a charge looks unfamiliar, compare it with the invoice lines and your transaction history first. If it still is not clear, open a ticket and include the invoice number, and our team will explain it. See Paying an invoice and Saved cards and automatic renewals.
