Our services and products

YallowHost sells the building blocks of a business online: servers to run your websites and applications, the domain names that point to them, email for your team, storage for your files, and services that clean an infected website, look after your server or move your website to us. Everything is ordered, paid for and managed from your YallowHost account, and you always see the price before you commit: on the order page, or, for a service priced by quote, in the quote you accept.

Our services and products are:

• Cloud servers (also called VPS), built to your own size.
• Bare metal servers: whole physical machines, also known as dedicated servers.
• Domain names: registration and renewal, with optional ID protection.
• Business email: mailboxes on your own domain.
• Lifetime Cloud Storage: file storage in your account that you pay for once.
• Website migration: our team moves your website from your current host.
• Server management plans: our team looks after your cloud or bare metal server, billed annually.
• Server services: Server Troubleshooting and Virus & Malware Removal, priced by quote.

Cloud servers (VPS)

A cloud server is a virtual private server that you build yourself on the cloud server builder. You choose the processor cores, the memory and the storage, the data centre the server runs in and its operating system, and you can add Managed SSL, a global CDN and email accounts. The monthly price adds up as you go, so you always see what you will pay before you order. Cloud servers are billed monthly or annually. See Deploying your first cloud server.

Bare metal servers

A bare metal server is a whole physical machine that is yours alone. Each machine on the bare metal page lists its exact processor, memory and storage, its network, its monthly price and how many are in stock. Choose bare metal when you want a known machine with dedicated hardware, and a cloud server when you would rather pick each component yourself. How to choose a hosting plan compares the two.

Domain names

Search for a name on the domains page to see whether it is available and what it costs to register and to renew. You choose the registration period, can add ID protection (WHOIS privacy) where it is offered, and can point the domain at your YallowHost server or at a service elsewhere. Before a domain is due, you receive a renewal invoice to pay. See Registering a new domain and Domain renewals and expiry.

Business email

Business email gives your team mailboxes on your own domain, such as [email protected]. You choose an email package, the number of mailboxes and the storage for each one. Once the invoice is paid, our team creates the mailboxes, and each one appears in the Email area of your account with its sign-in details. The domain can be registered with us or elsewhere. Lifetime Cloud Storage

Lifetime Cloud Storage is file storage inside your YallowHost account that you pay for once: a single payment, with no subscription and no renewal invoice. Use it to keep documents and website archives, to create secure share links for other people, and to send us large files. Sizes and prices are on the Lifetime Cloud Storage page. Website migration

If your website is hosted somewhere else today, our team can move it for you. Start a request from the migration page or from Migrations in your account, and our team reviews your setup before any work begins. When you order a cloud server or a bare metal server, the order page may also offer a migration, and shows any fee before you pay. See How to prepare for a website migration.

Server management plans

Every cloud and bare metal server starts as an empty machine that you run yourself. Add a management plan (Essential, Advanced, Enterprise or Ultimate, billed annually) and our team takes on the work that plan lists, from operating system updates and security patching up to a fully managed server where our team holds the access details. Choose a plan when you order a server, or add one later from the server's page in your account. See Managed servers for what each plan includes.

Server Troubleshooting and Virus & Malware Removal

These two services are priced by quote, because every job is different:

• Server Troubleshooting: our team investigates a problem on your server, such as a website that is down or a slow server, and fixes it.
• Virus & Malware Removal: our team cleans an infected website or server.

To ask for one, sign in, open Service Requests in your account, choose the service and fill in its form. The server can be one of your YallowHost servers or hosting accounts, or a server hosted elsewhere. Our team reviews your request, may ask you questions, and sends you a quote with the price, what it covers and the date it is valid until. Nothing is charged until you accept the quote. Accepting creates an invoice; once it is paid, you send us the access details through a secure form and our team starts the work.
